Edcamp Chicago Sponsors Part I and Meet Jen Vincent

We have some great sponsors who have donated
giveaways and swag for Edcamp Chicago!

We recently announced that Edtechteacher
donated an iPad Mini that we'll be giving away.

Other sponsors include:

iHome Educator

 Answer Underground

 Simple K12

Walden Pond Press

Choice Literacy

Thanks to all these sponsors for supporting Edcamp Chicago!

We have one more announcement about plans after Edcamp on Saturday!

Pinstripes has also donated a $25 gift certificate that we will be giving away and will be hosting our after party! After Edcamp, head over to Pinstripes where appetizers will be half price for Edcamp Chicago attendees! This is a great chance to continue conversations with old friends or new friends from Edcamp. Located just around the corner from the Sears Centre, Pinstripes is a unique dining experience that offers a bistro and bar amidst bowling and bocci. Plan to join us!

Edcamp organizer, Jen Vincent is really looking forward to unwinding at Pinstripes after Edcamp! Jen has worked in School District U-46 for the last ten years as a Hearing Itinerant Teacher, working with students who are deaf and hard of hearing and mainstreamed in regular education classes. She currently works as a Teacher Leader for the Teacher Mentor Program for U-46 in the Teacher Effectiveness Initiatives department. Jen is a National Board Certified Teacher in Early and Middle Childhood Literacy. She loves to read and write and believes that teachers should be reading and writing alongside their students.
Jen has found an amazing network of awesome people on Twitter! Completing the National Boards process completely changed her teaching and led her to connecting with teachers and librarians and authors and publishers...and many others on Twitter. She doesn't think she could live without her iPhone because it gives her access to Twitter and Pinterest and every other social media she uses all in her pocket.

If you would like to learn more about Jen and her work, you can find her here:

When we asked Jen what Starbucks drink she would be, she told us, "Definitely a venti cool lime refresher! Yellow is my favorite color and the slice of lime in this drink makes it fun! It also reminds me of a sunny summer day...and what teacher doesn't love summer?!"

Lots to look forward to on Saturday! Are you ready?!?
