Edcamp Chicago 3.0 - T Minus Two Months!

Edcamp is coming back to Chicago!

The next Edcamp Chicago is scheduled for Saturday, April 27th, 2013 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, just west of Chicago. Registration is currently open and we already have over 100 people signed up to attend. Sign up soon, registration is limited to 300 people.

Wondering just what exactly an Edcamp is all about? Here's some basic information:

Edcamp Chicago is a participant-driven "un-conference" that brings forward-thinking educators together to network, share ideas, and teach one another to transform education.

An innovative group of educators who strongly believe in the power of networking and sharing to transform teaching have collaborated to bring this event to Chicago again. We are committed to advancing best practices in Pre-K - 12 education and changing the mold of professional development. This event is driven by the belief that fostering a free exchange of information will lead to remarkable intellectual, creative and continuing connections between participants. Ultimately, we hope to energize and inspire teachers by bringing them together and providing time to collaborate and learn from each other.

We hope to see you there! Please share in the comments: Have you ever been to an Edcamp? What do you love about Edcamp? What do you hope to get out of Edcamp Chicago this time? Thanks for sharing!

Recently went to #edcampMadWi in Sun Prairie, WI. Had a great time, met a lot of my Tweeps and learned lots of new things while deepening my knowledge of others. An incredible day!! Can't wait to meet some of my Illinois tweeps in Chicago!

Hello EdcampChicago, wondering if any teachers in the Chicago area are in a 1:1 ipad school and wanting to create their own digital textbook with iBooks Author. I'd be willing to travel to Chi-town to talk about Michigan's summer book building project. bitly.com/ibahack

This will be my third EdCamp, and I'm looking forward to meeting more people from my PLN, growing my PLN even more, and sharing about Genius Hour / 20% Time! This time, I'll LEAD a session! Also, it's so nice and close to home - the other were in OshKosh and Madison, but were fun, no less!!
